Junior Netball
The Barwon Heads junior netballers will be out to replicate the success they have enjoyed over the past two seasons. With all teams making finals in 2015, and all but one last season – the club has come to expect big things of our juniors. This season we would love to just go that bit further and have a few more teams finish with the flag – but it is a work in progress and we are confident we are building towards that in a way that develops our young players and sets up some solid ground for the future of our senior teams too.
The Under 17 girls have had their trials and will move into some serious pre-season training under the tutelage of Perri Jones and Lucy Pollock in Division 1– two of our senior netballers who both have a wealth of experience and knowledge. The Division 2 girls have Colleen McEwan whose coaching record over the past two seasons has been exemplary – with one premiership and a runner-up!
Next week our Under 13 and Under 15 will finally take to the courts; however, we are feeling lucky this year as Ocean Grove have kindly allowed us the use of their courts – and there are 4 of them which will be extremely useful for us when conducting selections! Our Under 11 selections will take place after that – at Ocean Grove also.
Barwon Heads Net Set Go will begin on the first Friday of Term 2 (April 21st). Details of when and how to register will be posted as soon as they become available.
