We're set for start. All you need to know right now.

Welcome to 2018 – Junior Footy is back.

Not sure about you but we can’t wait to get started.

Welcome to season 2018!

Following a terrific 2017 season, we are super excited about 2018.

We know that summer sport is still going, however we also know that our kids and their parents have started thinking about football – so here’s a quick overview of some key information that we have been working on.

Sunday Football Funday – Information & Welcome

On Sunday March 4th there will be a Junior Football Meet & Greet at Howard Harmer Oval at the BHFNC Clubrooms. Starting at 1130 you will have an opportunity to meet coaches and junior committee members, enjoy a BBQ with new and old friends and participate in an all in footy match of boys, girls and parents.

We would love kids and parents to come along and join in the fun!

How can I help?

There are a variety of roles that each team needs to ensure everyone has a great season. We know that a number of families have helped out in the past and we really appreciate that.  In 2018, we will be asking every family to volunteer in some way during the season.

A successful junior program is Footy, Food and Fundraising  in 2018 we will be asking for you to ‘pick a job’.  As the many that have been involved across the years will all tell you, the benefits of being a part of your local footy far outweigh the effort.

So, please have a think about whether you might like to me a Team Manager, BBQ guru, team runner, ground setter-upperer, 1st Aider, website lark, coffee maker, toasted sandwich designer, training drill coach support person, goal umpire – or work with us as part of our Junior Committee – we do need you!

Can I register now?

Yes. Registration is open. Click here to complete the 2 step process.  Register with Sporting Pulse as a player/coach/volunteer and register as a member of Barwon Heads Football Club

As a returning player have your registered email address ready in order to reactivate membership.  New members will need to upload a birth certificate.  So we are set to go for the season, we do need you to complete full payment or confirm a payment plan by week 3 of the season.

When will our kids play?

The schedule will span across the weekend from Friday Night to Sunday afternoon. More information will be provided upon release from AFL Barwon. We regularly connect with AFL Barwon and work with them to try and optimise the outcome for our kids.

When will training start?

Our older kids have already started – at the moment training is at Village Park however changes may occur as we get closer to the season:

  • Under 17 Boys Mon and Wed 5.00pm-6.00pm
  • Under 15 Boys Mon and Wed 5.15pm-6.00pm
  • Under 18 Girls and Open Womens Wed 6.00pm-7.00pm
  • Under 12 Girls and 15 Girls Wed 5.00pm-6.00pm

Our U13, U11, U10 and U9 Boys training days and times will be provided at the Sunday Football Sunday Information session.

What should I do now?

  1. Register your kids
  2. Talk to them about footy – get them excited
  3. Book Sunday March 4th in your diary
  4. Think about how you would like to help BHFNC Junior Footy in 2018

Thanks! Go Seagulls!
