A big thank you to those who called into the BHFNC Clubrooms on Sunday.

It was great to see familiar faces again and meet some new faces who are joining BHFNC for season 2018.

Thanks to Chris & Marley for their work on the BBQ and legendary BHFNC Treasurer Angie Spinks for assisting with transfers, registrations and promoting the brand new BHFNC merchandise.

Some key points which we discussed and wanted to make sure everyone is across:

Training:

  • U17 and U15 are already training
  • U13 Boys training starts tonight at 5.00pm at the Soccer Ground (if you can’t make it, see you next week)
  • U11 & U9 – to be confirmed, probably next week but stay tuned

Coaches:

Thanks to those who have spoken to Cam and expressed interest. We are definitely interested in flexible approaches so if 2 or 3 people want to express interest as a coaching team, then we would love to talk to you. At the moment we need coaches for U11 and one of the U13 teams.

Registration:

This is probably the most important thing you can do right now as this helps us confirm team numbers – and then the supporting structure required. Please register your child ASAP in both:

  1. Sporting Pulse
  2. BHNFC Club Membership

Both can be accessed from the membership page on the BHFNC website.

 

Your help:

Thanks to those who have already volunteered to take on a team support role. In addition to Coaches & Team Managers, each team needs 8 other people each game day to help share the load – Runner, First Aider, Field Umpire, Goal Umpire, Time Keeper, BBQ, Barista, Ground set-up & pack down.

If you can’t commit each week, perhaps find a friend and share a role between you. Please talk to your Coach ASAP so they can start to get the team support structure in place.

Games:

The schedule hasn’t been finalised however our expectations are that U9 and U11 will play Friday night / Saturday morning with the rest of the Junior teams playing on Sundays.

Please note this is not confirmed and we will let you know as soon as we know.

We will also be converting the Barwon Heads FNC Juniors Facebook page from 2017 to 2018.

Team specific information protocols will be established by each team. Last year a mix of Facebook and Team App were used – please talk to your Team Manager about this once they are confirmed.

BHFNC Club News:

The first senior games (Netball & Football) are Easter Saturday – 31st March. It would be fantastic to have Junior Football families there as last year was an awesome day.

The club is currently finalising the social and fundraising calendar and will start communicating key social / fundraising events and home games shortly. After 3 of the home games there will be music in the clubrooms, towards the end of the season there will be buses to away games and there will be a couple of themed home games as well – so it will be a fantastic season all round.

BHFNC Sponsorship – sponsorship packages for season 2018 are closing soon, so if you have a business that would benefit from increased awareness and promotion, please talk to one of the sponsorship team.
