Seniors Back On The Track

Barwon Heads senior squad recommenced training on Tuesday night under the new glow of their recently installed ground lighting and with the Howard Harmer ground in pristine condition. Co senior coaches Troy Mitchell and Mitch Herbison were thrilled with the condition of all players and described this first session as an outstanding success.

As per AFL Victoria protocols outlining the return of training, 4 groups of 10 trained with great enthusiasm between 5.30 and 7.30. It was very pleasing to see our Geelong Falcons young guns in Charlie Brauer, Archie Hildebrandt, Sam Witherden, Oli Wiltshire and Flynn Young at training with emerging young gun Charlie Hurst. 2020 recruits Will Jacobs, Teia Miles, Matt Iannelli, Tom O’Callaghan, Sam Torpy, Bobby Wallace, Cam O’Leary, Riley Berg, Leigh Sartori and Cody Diana were all impressive on the track.

Training was sharp and enthusiastic and it was great that premiership players Matt Dyer, Otto Opperman, Mitch Phelps, Kyle Polley, Ned Aulsebrook, Damien Horbury, Braeden Eddy, Logan Mitchell, Brock Close and Jaydan McLauchlan led the way.

Barwon Heads will continue to train on a Tuesday and Thursday night and eagerly await a positive announcement from AFL Barwon regarding the start of the 2020 season.
