NEW SIGNING RECRUIT HARRISON KING

The Barwon Heads Football Club would like to present a special Christmas gift to all of our sponsors, members and supporters by announcing that Harrison King has joined our club for the 2023 season.

27 year old Harrison King has an impressive football CV which includes being Western Jets captain in 2013 before joining Werribee (VFL) between 2014 – 2017 where he played 8 senior and 44 development games. Harrison then joined Bacchus Marsh in the Ballarat FL where he played between 2018 – 2022 which included a fifth placing in the Competition Best and Fairest (Henderson Medal) in 2022.

Football Director Brendan Curry stated “this is a huge signing for our club because Bacchus Marsh was desperate to keep Harrison whilst his junior club Werribee Districts were very keen for him to also return. Harrison’s show of faith in our club and culture and his desire to play in a successful side and how he has embraced our environment and his new team mates has been outstanding. Harrison will be a quality player who can play midfield, back and forward.”

Harrison King added “right from the word go, the Barwon Heads club as a whole has been really welcoming. My partner and I are moving to Geelong in 2023 so the timing for me was right to look into a new chapter, and I couldn’t be happier with Barwon Heads Football Netball Club being the main driver of that. So far my time with the club has been super enjoyable and it’s really a credit to all those involved. I’m excited to see what the 2023 season and beyond holds.”
