2021 FIXTURE RELEASED

AFL Barwon today released the 2021 Bellarine Football League Fixture for Senior Football and Senior Netball.  2021 Bellarine Football Netball League fixture

BHFNC is very excited that Round 1 will be on Easter Saturday April 3rd when we host Drysdale at Howard Harmer Oval. This day will see the unfurling of our 2019 Senior Football premiership flag and will also be the debut of our Netball Coach Kate Schippers. A big Easter holiday will be in attendance on this day with plenty of new faces debuting on both the football field and netball courts.

Following away games to Anglesea and Queenscliff in Rounds 2 and 3, Barwon Heads returns home in Round 4 on Saturday April 24 in a Grand Final replay against the highly rated Torquay.

Supporters, members and sponsors will be delighted that the “Battle of the Bridge” against arch rivals Ocean Grove will be played in Round 5 on Saturday May 1 at home.

Another feature of the 2021 fixture is that there is only one bye weekend (Saturday July 3) instead of the normal two byes and the Grand Final will be played on Saturday September 4 at a venue to be announced.

Unfortunately the club was not fixtured a home game on the Queens Birthday long weekend and instead we will play Torquay away in Round 11 on Saturday June 12.

It is also worth noting that the club will play at home in 4 of the last 6 rounds before the finals commence on the weekend 14th / 15th August.

Meanwhile both football and netball players conclude the pre Christmas block of training  this week before recommencing training in mid January 2021.

From all Barwon Heads coaches, footballers and netballers we wish all of our sponsors, members and supporters all the very best for the upcoming Christmas / New Year period after a difficult year. Keep safe and have a great time with your families and we look forward to again playing football and netball and representing BHFNC with skill, commitment and success in 2021.
