MORE PLAYERS COMMIT FOR 2021

Barwon Heads Football Department is pleased to announce another 9 players have been signed for the 2021 season. Following on from the initial announcement 10 days ago of 20 players being contracted, it is very exciting that 2019 premiership players Matthew “DOGGA” Dyer, Brock Close and Otto Opperman are amongst recent signings.

Seb Kent who was such a key player for the Heads in 2018 but missed the entire 2019 season with injury is on board next season as are Tim Chapman and Noah Young who both played plenty of senior footy in 2019. Young forward Nic Sutton who tasted senior football in 2018 before succumbing to a back injury which derailed his 2019 season is also back fit for the 2021 season.

Youngsters Sam Torpy (St Mary’s) and Riley Berg (St Joseph’s) who were recruited to the Seagulls for 2020, have also recommitted for 2021.

Senior Coach Troy Mitchell stated “it is exciting for the club and our coaches that the playing group are committing early and we all sense that this group can continue to improve and have success if we continue to work hard and improve.”
