SPITTA COMES ON BOARD

Barwon Heads Football Club is excited to announce the signing of Lee Spiteri from Altona Football Club in the Western Region Football League. 31 year old Spiteri has had a long and distinguished career with the Altona Vikings over 11 seasons. He played 152 senior games including being part of their 2012 premiership side. He represented the WRFL representative side on 3 occasions and also made the Vic Metro side.

Spiteri has finished top 5 in Altona’s Best and Fairest 4 times and he has established a reputation as one of their most reliable players who often played on the opposition best mid sized or small forward. Spiteri’s strengths are his courage, clean hands at ground level and an ability to weave out of traffic. Spiteri also played a season with Williamstown (VFL) in 2011 where he played well at Development level.

Spiteri is domiciled in Ocean Grove with his girlfriend Alice who is a Project Manager with Website Design. SPITTA is a Exercise Physiologist who works at Quick Fit in Armstrong Creek where he specialises in treatment of Injury Prevention and Management.

Football Director Brendan Curry added “it is a great coup for our club to get SPITTA on board. He is a very experienced player and more importantly a high quality person who will add to our group both on and off the ground. Supporters will see a player who always gives 100% every week and goes about his job in an uncomplicated manner and will quickly earn the respect of the player group.”

Welcome to Barwon Heads Football Netball Club to both Lee and Alice.
